oOps.05656, founded by Moon Gyuchul and Hwang Sunjeong,
present their new work . It consists of an audiovisual live
performance, in which sound, music, and visuals are generated and
performedin real time, and a media installation. As a work, that
raises questions about the world in which nature and humans are
becoming profoundly intertwined in the time and space we live in, it
expresses an where fixed temporality has vanished.
In this work the
light and sound, swimming and mingling throughout the
performance, leaving traces of time and depicting a landscape with
humans-city-nature and immaterial- virtual-real, and 'time-space',
inside and beyond coexisting and having multiple and simultaneous
viewpoints. In the audiovisual performance , The artists implement
a constantly changing digital image by using the “point cloud” data
of cultural properties supported by the Cultural Heritage
Administration of Korea and the three- dimensional point
reconstruction of images of landscapes and forests taken directly.
The performance consists of seven pieces of music produced by the
artists.
oOps.50656 is the Seoul based audiovisual and new media art collective consisting of Moon Gyuchul and Hwang Sunjeong. "oOps", the acronym of "organic-Operators) connects human-nature-sciencetechnology organically as the organic-Operators, they presented AV performance, Interactive Installation, and New Media Art Projects using algorithmic composition, contemporary computing technologies. oOps.50656 presents the poetic moment of new media through real-time Generative art and AV performance and interdisciplinary projects. oOps.50656 continued collaboration with dancers, poets, scientists, movements, artistic activism, and various related studies. Recently they announced works in <Mutek 2020, JP+MX>, <Prectxe2020>, <Walkland2020>, <WeSA2019> and <Paradise art lab 2022>.
